At the beginning of the week, two Ysgol Y Berwyn sixth form students were ecstatic to hear that they had both been awarded entrance scholarships to study Music at Bangor University. They are Owain Llwyd (Head Boy at Ysgol Y Berwyn) from Glyndyfrdwy, who was awarded the Denbighshire County Council entrance scholarship and Glian Llwyd from Cefnddwysarn who was awarded a Bangor University Music department entrance scholarship. Both were also awarded Performing Scholarships to help them with their studies next year.

Although concentrating on their A levels at present, they do also find time to take part in concerts and as accompanists. We wish them both well in their A level exams in a few months' time and with their further studies at Bangor.
