Two very special quilts have been on show at the Quilt Exhibition at the Royal International Pavilion.

The Eisteddfod Quilt has a number of famous persons signatures on them - for example, Edward Heath, Harold Wilson, Margaret Snowdon (the late Princess Margaret). The other quilt, measuring 5ft x 7ft, in the display case, was used to raise funds during the 1st World War. The idea was that anyone who wanted their name on the quilt paid £1 (a lot of money in those days) for the privilege. It snowballed into a great number of names and it provides a good record of the people of the Coedpoeth area, and Rehobeth Chapel in particular, who donated to the cause.
